It's amazing what you can get for free on the internet these days. Music, movies, applications for everything, and yes lots of free games. And while you can get lots of free games online, none usually match the quality of the titles at the store. But there seems to be a shift lately in this arena, and Gamecron is compiling what they consider to be the best free games with the quality of the store-bought ones. Check them out!

Everybody loves Legos and if you're reading this, you probably love video games. The only thing better than either is the combination of both. You may not have played with the real deal since you were a kid, but you may still be playing with them in the popular Lego Star Wars™ games. The future is upon us and is telling us we need to get into digital downloadable content. As services like Gametap™, Steam™, and the XBOX™ Live Marketplace have proven, there is an audience for downloadable games on demand and it is growing. The new Nintendo® Wii™ and PS3 promise to expand it even more with a plethora of games available for download at launch, and as we reported recently the Phantom™ Game console Service is set to join the club. EB/Gamestop™ has wisely thrown its hat in the ring by launching its own on-demand service, available via the company websites.

In only our 2nd newsletter back in August of 2004 we told you about Zelda™ Classic, an exact replica of the original NES game for PC with SNES graphics. The engine allows the development of new quests by anyone. Today over 200 quests have been made and are available for download.
