Way back in at the annual Game Developer’s Conference in February of last year, IGN’s Nintendo team leader Matt Casamassina got a chance to try out what may or may not be the technology powering Microsoft’s new Project Natal, the ZCam. He was extremely impressed with it, even going so far as to say that “it really out-Wiis Wii”, “and this is coming from a guy who’s into Wii”. While there he also tested out their boxing demo which he said was ‘twenty times better than the Wii’.
And if that still wasn’t enough, he actually said that “Nintendo may just rip this off completely, because it would be amazing if they did”. Isn’t it a shame Nintendo didn’t listen to him and beat the competition to the punch.
