Behold, the first glimpse of the arcade of the future has finally arrived. A real working 3D Virtual Arcade that you can walk around in a first-person perspective and actually play emulated classic arcade games.
Features:
* online high score saving
* full-screen OpenGL rendering
* the most advanced java based multi-arcade emulation
* support for Sega™ Master System
* support for MSX/MSX2
* ultra easy one-click installation
* automatically kept up to date (if there’s a new version, you’ll get it automatically)
* runs on MS Windows™, Linux x86, Mac OSX
* Click here for a complete list of supported games *
Basic Controls:
Just walk up to the arcade cabinet of your choice using the mouse and the W, A, S, D keys, and click to get it’s focus for gameplay. When the arcade machine has focus, the usual JEmu2 controls will work. Press ‘ESC’ while an arcade machine has focus to return to ‘walk’ mode again.
Emulator Controls (focused):
[BREAK] = pause emulator
[NUM-LOCK] = reset emulator
[F9] = toggle overlay (display FPS, throttling, sync status)
[F11] = toggle throttling
[F12] = toggle VSync
[ESC] = exit emulation and return to front-end
All of this in a single very easy to use download. It’s only a matter of time before someone makes something similar that is a MMO of sorts, possibly even adding NPCs. This is a great start, and really intriguing, check it out.
