You 80′s geeks may remember the movie The Last Starfighter about a trailer park gamer seemingly doomed to stay at home all his life who finds himself recruited as a gunner for an alien defense force because of mastering The Last Starfighter video game.

Now the game that only existed in the movie is a reality thanks to Rogue Synapse which is making arcade games that never were. These guys are not only making a working replica of the arcade game used in the movie The Last Starfighter… they’ve got a version of the game available for free download!

Other games in addition to the Last Starfighter include the Bishop of Battle from the Nightmares movie, and the Space Paranoids game featured in the opening scenes of Tron.
